Two new stories from ICCF

Story 1: Creating a Place to Call HOME with Storehouse’s Help:

ICCF operates a 6 unit shelter for families experiencing homelessness at our Family Haven Shelter. Our staff rely on donations and volunteers in the community to operate and turn units over, making them feel fresh and welcoming to new families. Storehouse has become an AMAZING resource to supply the units with curtains, furniture, and home décor items to prepare families who rest their head at Family Haven and call it home. During our April and May shopping trips, Family Haven staff were able to pick up items to make our shelter feel like home. All items are used by families.

Story 2: Furniture for All With Storehouse’s Help:

During our last shopping trip in June, the Storehouse team assisted us with a large 12 piece sectional, two king bed sets and different household items. Three households received the king bed sets and another one received the couch in their new apartments- they were elated! The resident who received the couch shared that she finally had a place to enjoy her new home and have all of her grandbabies over. The items from storehouse allow us to show up for our families and assist with large items that are expensive but essential. We also had two residents who requested chairs or couches since they also did not have furniture to sit on in their living rooms as well. These two households received leather recliners that our team got from Storehouse. It’s important to us that our community members feel valued and dignified in their homes. Because of our partnership with Storehouse we can do just that! See photos of the lovely sectional.
