LINC UP provides goods to hundreds of families

LINC UP deeply values being an Affiliate partner with the StoreHouse. Since establishing this relationship in the Winter of 2020 LINC UP has been able to provide various goods to hundreds of families within the 49507 community. In particular cleaning supplies, PPE, school supplies, household goods are distributed weekly during our community food giveaways.

During the month of March 2021 we were able to equip a rising caterer with an airfryer, roaster and other catering supplies obtained during our shopping trip.

We also were able to assist a single mother with adding additional security to her home with a new flood light and motion camera. Both of these families were very grateful for these goods.

In April 2021 we were able to obtain some additional air fryers and outdoor solar lights that were given directly to families that have expressed a desire for small kitchen appliances and outdoor lights. Recently LINC has started hosting tenant meetings again that were paused much of 2020 due to COVID-19. During these meetings we have been able to hear directly from the residents in our various complexes. We will be using some of the smaller/personal electronic items obtained as raffles for participation in these meetings. The books we obtained during this month's trip were distributed to neighborhood youth, as we continue to work with our local Madison Square library branch to encourage reading.
