- Enter through your designated volunteer entrance (see map) and check-in at the start of every volunteer shift.
- Come with a servant’s heart and a good attitude, ready to pour into others and be flexible in helping the team.
- Refreshments are typically available if needed.
- Most volunteer shifts involve standing and light labor for 2-3 hours. Administrative volunteers are able to perform tasks seated or in a chair. Please consider this when signing up to fill different roles.
- We do our best to remain open during normal business hours. If closed, notices will be posted on our Facebook page and as a banner at the top of our website.
- The Storehouse will post to our Facebook page by 7 am if we are closing due to weather. You are always welcome to cancel and reschedule if you are not comfortable driving.
- Please arrive on time for your scheduled volunteer shift and check-in using the Volunteer laptop in the café.
- We do not have a private location for volunteers to store items such as purses or other valuables. Please lock personal effects in your car for the duration of your volunteer shift.

Donate Products
From BRAND NEW furniture to hygiene products, books to appliances, our products are items families often find difficult to secure with limited resources. Learn how to match your products with our member nonprofits and schools.
Donate Funds
Monetary donations have an immediate impact on our ability to serve Michigan communities. For every dollar donated, Storehouse sources and redistributes $40-$50 in product to those in need, amplifying the impact of every dollar we receive. Funds are utilized in a variety of ways, including:
- Purchasing in-demand products at dramatically reduced bulk costs for redistribution
- Purchasing inventory software
- Purchasing delivery vans and equipment
- Paying Storehouse staff
